Helping families discover a world of learning through travel.

Where could we go? Who would we meet? Would it work for our children? Travily’s founders, Nick and Flo, were building a platform for families who learn through travel, with destinations, learning hubs, families, and educators in one place. The website needed to welcome families with both possibility and practical detail. It also had to speak to hub leaders, whose communities would help make those travels worthwhile.

Through StrategyComics coaching, we explored what families and hub leaders wanted from Travily, what they needed to understand, and how they might first encounter it. We mapped the experience from discovering the platform to joining, using it, and recommending it. Those decisions became an illustrated strategy and a blueprint for the website, application, and launch. Nick and the production team could follow the same plan as they made decisions about copy, design, and product features.
We developed the social strategy, landing pages, interactive experiences, and application work from that blueprint. The family journey introduced worldschooling through places, learning hubs, and communities to explore. The hub journey explained how the people running those communities fitted into Travily and why they might join.
Friendly characters gave the site a welcoming face. The structure made room for the practical information families would need when considering a destination.
Product work included family passport and logbook concepts. These explored how families might record their travels and learning, keeping the places they visited and experiences they shared in a continuing story. A trip could become part of a family’s longer record of learning, rather than disappearing from view once they moved on.

Travily received an illustrated strategy and website blueprint covering its different audiences and their journeys. Those materials gave the team a reference for production and a way to assess where new ideas belonged.
Language, characters, and design gave Travily a recognisable welcome. Separate journeys introduced families to the possibilities and hub leaders to their role in the platform.
The collaboration extended into passport and logbook concepts, giving the team designs to explore beyond the website. These considered how a family could keep a record of its travels and learning as the product developed.
